Yes. Sparxio connects to your own account with a supported provider — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, or a local Ollama model. That keeps you in full control of usage and cost, and most providers offer free credits to start.
Is the plugin really free?
Yes. The core plugin — AI chat, 30 languages, appearance controls, chat logs and a knowledge base — is free and fully functional. WooCommerce chat, live agents, lead capture, advanced analytics and white-label are part of Sparxio Pro.
How much does the AI cost to run?
You pay your provider directly for API usage. On the most affordable models that’s typically a fraction of a cent per conversation, and built-in limits keep it low.
Will it slow down my site?
No. The widget loads after your page content and runs in an isolated Shadow DOM, so it never conflicts with your theme’s styles or scripts.
